These special 5 days holiday takes you to Kibale National Park in the west and Murchison Fall National Park in the country’s northwest. The world’s most powerful waterfalls, majestic Murchison Falls, can be found in Uganda’s largest and oldest national park, Murchison falls national park, which also happens to be the most visited park. Chimpanzees, “Man’s Closest Relatives,” are the dominant species in the roughly 13 different primate species that can be found in Kibale National Park.
You will have gone on a game drive in the verdant savannah park over the course of 5 days safari, enjoyed photography and completed a worthwhile trek. It is a road trip that begins and ends in Kampala or another destination of your choice.
Is it safe to travel to Uganda
Rwanda is a safe country to visit. Especially if you want to join organised game drives with private guides, as you will do with us. There are, of course, some places to avoid in big cities like Kigali. But – as with everywhere else in the world – you’ll be fine by taking some precautions. Just some examples to be on the safe side (pun intended): don’t explore the city at night without a driver or guide, keep your valuables close to you, avoid wearing big and visible jewellery and leave some things like passports in the hotel safe.

Day 1:
Pickup and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Meet and greet today at the location of the pickup where the driver-guide will brief you on what to expect in Uganda. Following the briefing, the magnificent 5- to 6-hour drive to Murchison Fall begins. En route, you’ll pass through bustling cities and observe locals conducting business among the lush foliage, among other things.
Have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary on the way to look for white and black southern rhinos. The only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos and track them for an hour in wilderness. After that, you will travel to Masindi for lunch before arriving at your lodge for check-in, supper and sleep.
Day 2:
Game drive and Boat cruise
Have a hearty breakfast at the lodge to start the day off well, and then take a 3 to 4-hours’ game drive across the northern region of Murchison Fall National Park. The largest national park in Uganda is Murchison Falls, which is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including the whistling acacia tree, borrusas, and more, as well as Egyptian geese, cranes, and other birds.
Since both the prey and predators are wild, it will take some luck for you to see everything on your checklist. The lions, leopards, African elephants, Cape Buffaloes, Giraffes, warthogs, and other antelope species are among those that can be found there, in addition to others.
Following the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch. At around 1400 hours, you will go on a boat tour to the base of most powerful waterfall on earth, where it thunders into R. Nile via a 7-meters wide gorge. Additionally, keep an eye out for hippos, enormous Nile crocodiles, coastline elephants and other wildlife. You will head back to the lodge for dinner and the night after shooting pictures and having a fulfilling cruise.
Day 3:
Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and be driven to Kibale Forest National Park, which is home to more than 13 different kinds of primates, majority of which are the chimpanzees. With lunch break, you’ll be on the road for roughly 6 to 7 hours. Check in to the lodge for dinner and the night after arriving safely.
Day 4:
Chimpanzee trekking and Isunga community experience
Arrive at the park headquarters following an early breakfast at your lodge for a pre-trek briefing where the ranger guide will go over trekking dos and don’ts, what to expect during the trip and more. Depending on your speed and where the apes are, playing, resting, feeding and more, chimpanzee trekking can last anywhere between one and three hours. Other primates including the grey-cheeked monkey, Vervet monkey, blue monkey, red-tailed monkey, black and white monkey, Columbus monkey, and more will also be identified, along with the various plant species and their uses. Before heading back to the lodge for lunch, you have an hour to take pictures, observe, and research the apes’ distinctive characteristics.
After lunch, there is an optional cultural experience offered by Isunga community, led by knowledgeable local guide who will share the community’s history, provide entertainment through music and dance, and share some cultural insights. The final part of today’s schedule is dinner and overnight.
Day 5:
Travel back to Kampala.
The lodge serves a delicious breakfast when you are awake. Following this, you will be picked up by our driver/guide for a transfer to Kampala or another pre-arranged drop-off location. You can take a tour of Kampala, including stops at the museum and craft village to buy gifts, depending on the length of your journey.

Our accommodations are divided into 3 categories, based on the quality of services and amenities. Curious to know what we mean by Luxury, Mid range, and Low Budget? Read it here!
Low Budget Accommodation
Our Low budget accommodations are comfortable and affordable options for a pleasant stay in Africa. Nothing glamourous or luxurious, but you can expect decent and enjoyable lodging for an overnight stay. All properties are well-maintained and provide clean rooms, comfy beds, hot water showers, and lovely dining rooms. The minor points may be that WiFi might only be available in some areas, and dinner usually comes in the form of a buffet.
However, these properties usually lie in beautiful surroundings, and some boast swimming pools or other extras.
Mid Range Accommodation
Our Mid range accommodations take it again to the next level, as they offer beautifully designed lodges and resorts in the most amazing locations. The service in these places is impeccable, all amenities you can think of are present, and rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable. Oftentimes, they boast private plunge pools or luxurious outside rain showers, wide beds, exquisite food, amazing service and beautiful terraces with fluffy sofas. And of course, these accommodations boast the most remarkable views over extraordinary landscapes.
Luxury Accommodation
Our Luxury accommodations offer the ultimate luxury experience in Africa. Nothing less than the best of the best! We present you with the most exquisite and unique spots Rwanda has to offer. You stay in places that are unique in their design, geographical location and service, as you sleep for example on private islands, in treetop rooms inside national parks or on the rim of a crater. You experience the utmost privacy and seclusion, while you enjoy sundowners in private plunge pools or outdoor bathtubs with a view, indulge in haute cuisine in fine restaurants, get pampered in a luxury spa or with in-room massages, and get your morning coffee served by private butlers while watching the wildlife from your terrace…

Best Time To Visit Uganda
The best wildlife viewing months in Uganda are during the Dry seasons from June to August and December to February. Primate walks in the forest are a big part of any safari in Uganda. The habitat of rainforests is, by default, very wet, and one can’t avoid rain completely
